I made this for our quilt group Christmas challenge last year. Everyone was asked to create a pincushion of their own choice, so long as it was not just two squares sewn together! I tend to leave projects to the last minute and this was no exception, frantically stuffing, stitching closed and then wrapping it on the morning of our final meeting of the year. Names were drawn out and parcels chosen, with Jennie being the recipient of mine.
What a beautiful, colourful pincushion. I love the design!
ReplyDeleteCould you explain how you draft the pattern for the circle pincushion? merryagray@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteLove the pincushion, Bonnie Hunter sent me here. :), via a Facebook post. Would love to see instrctions on how you made it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dorothy for sending me the source of the interest. I have posted the method for making my pincushion, I hope that helps!
DeleteI could see this being made with two semi-circles - paper-pieced - I would hope it wouldn't be too hard to draw up the pattern, but that being said, I am pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do it myself - lol -- I am not a maker of patterns, but a follower. Would you please tell us how you made it - PRETTY PLEASE!
ReplyDeleteYour idea of two semi-circles makes so much sense! I've posted my method, have a look, cheers.
DeleteWould love the directions to this pincushion. Love it.
